AH Engineering has been part of client advisory for Ny Storstrømsbro since 2013, initially as part of COWI and later through AH Engineering. Contributions include screening phase for solution preference (bridge or tunnel), VVM (Environmental Impact Assessment) study, sketching technical road and railway structures, clarification of construction methods, and input for assessing potential environmental impacts. Other activities involve pre-expropriation inspections, preparation of technical inspection materials, participation in inspection proceedings with the client and landowners, tender projects, and negotiation meetings. AH Engineering is also part of the project team responsible for writing the tender material and contract requirements for the total contract for the construction of Ny Storstrømsbro, including third-party control for land construction and follow-up on the total contractor’s detailed design for land construction. The project is managed by the Danish Road Directorate as the client.
