We provide road and railway design based on applicable norms and regulations according to Road Regulations and Railway Standards. This includes concept proposals, sketch projects, and detailed projects. All design is based on 3D models of existing conditions, allowing for the clarification of design requirements such as stopping sight distances, area conditions, and drainage. 3D models also enable visualization of how the new structures fit into the existing landscape. We have experience in railways, cycle paths, roundabouts, squares, highways, shared spaces, and motorway constructions.
Contemporary construction projects heavily rely on 3D data, involving the delivery and handling of data. AH Engineering has substantial experience in accessing public data systems and databases, forming the basis for project development. This includes handling, conversion, and delivery of data to/from various sources, as well as drones, surveys, etc. These foundational map data contribute to the design of construction projects, providing a more realistic understanding for clients, visualization, and final layout data for contractors and project settlements.
Occasionally, conflicts arise in construction projects between involved parties. To resolve conflicts, standard construction agreement documents such as AB-92/AB-18 embed the option to resolve disagreements through an impartial party, either via expert assessments or by directly bringing the case to an arbitration tribunal. AH Engineering is part of the designated experts for assessments, contributing to the professional evaluation of disputes between parties.
Climate change results in a significant increase in intense, short-term rainfall. Consequently, there has been increased focus on managing and adapting civil structures to prevent flooding of critical infrastructure and buildings. AH Engineering has been involved in several projects actively incorporating local storage volumes and terrain adjustments to secure infrastructure and buildings, offering technical advice in this regard.
Establishing new areas for urban development and commerce requires understanding is part of AH Engineering competences. We transform client wishes, and area requires into new urban areas. This includes aesthetic and functional aspects related to traffic management, public transportation, traffic like cyclists and pedestrians, rainwater, utility lines, etc. AH Engineering has been part of various urban site development projects, contributing to master planning, defining overall constraints for larger urban areas, and developing/adapting smaller building plots within the current given conditions.
